My name is Chris Pena and I am a childhood friend and neighbor to Gary Howery in Selma, Ca.

During what was meant to be a season of hope and rebuilding, Gary and his mother were faced with an unexpected and heartbreaking setback. As they began renovating their home to create a safer and more stable living space, they were forced to temporarily move out so the work could be completed.

While the home sat empty, it was broken into, and essential appliances and personal belongings were stolen, adding emotional and financial stress during the holiday season. What was already a challenging time quickly became overwhelming.

I started this GoFundMe to help Gary and his mother replace what was taken and to continue the repairs needed to make their home whole again. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help lift a heavy burden and bring them one step closer to restoring their home and sense of security.
