It’s incredibly difficult to ask for help, but right now, it’s our only hope of giving our dad the fighting chance he deserves. If you know our dad, Gary, you already know he’s the kind of man who lights up every room he walks into. His kindness, strength, and selflessness are unmatched. He’s the first to lend a hand, the one you call when you’re in trouble, and the last to ever ask for anything in return. But now, he needs us. Gary has recently been diagnosed with colon cancer. He’s facing urgent need for surgery and may need chemotherapy but insurance setbacks are standing in the way, and time is not on our side. He’s a proud father, a record-holding hunter, a passionate outdoorsman, and a man whose love for his family, and friends, runs deeper than words. Since retiring, he’s continued to give back by scouting and helping others chase their dreams. He’s our rock, our best friend, and we can’t imagine a world without his laugh, his wisdom, or his bear hugs.
