My father, Gary Thorne, has shown incredible strength and resilience over the past 15 years as he’s battled multiple myeloma. He’s undergone two bone marrow transplants, CAR-T cell therapy, and countless rounds of chemotherapy. Recently, we received the wonderful news that his cancer was in complete molecular remission. However, our celebration was short-lived when, on the very same day, Gary learned he had developed large b-cell lymphoma.

Currently, Gary is in his second round of EPOCH treatment, which has been extremely hard on his system and his spirit. Each time he receives treatment, his blood counts drop to near zero, landing him in the hospital for multiple blood transfusions, platelets, and IV antibiotics. Through all of this, Gary has been unable to work, but he still needs to travel frequently to Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia for appointments and ongoing care. The financial strain of these trips and medical needs has been overwhelming, and we want to help ease that burden so he can focus on his treatment and recovery.

Gary has touched the lives of so many in our community. He has always been there selflessly to help someone in need. This time he needs us.
