Support Gary Roy's Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Let's remember Gary Roy and keep him in our hearts, minds, and prayers. Gary is not just a friend to many of us, but also a son, brother, father, classmate, and workmate. He has been in the hospital for 9 months due to a tropical infection that has affected his organs, leading to a stroke and dementia. His road to recovery has been slow and challenging. During his slow progress, Gary was given last rites, twice. The recent natural disaster in Guam, a typhoon with sustained winds of 140 mph for 14 hours, left Gary and many others without water for 10 days and without power for 21 days. His family became concerned and arranged for him to fly home on medical standby during the holidays. It took weeks to finally get back to Maine. Due to his confusion, poor health, malnutrition, and inability to walk, Gary needed medical assistance to return home. Gary lost his job as a pharmacist, all his belongings, and any financial means due to the duration of this battle. Any help is appreciated, and no amount is too small. In advance, I would like to thank you for your help. Gary, our friends, and I appreciate you.
