On August 9th, 2025, our beloved father, Gary Phillips was the victim of a devastating motorcycle accident that has left him with severe injuries and mounting medical bills. While riding along Highway 48, just south of Highway 33, a large dog suddenly darted out in front of him. The impact caused our dad to be thrown violently from his motorcycle, rolling multiple times until he came to a stop in the middle of the highway.

We are beyond grateful that he was wearing a helmet at the time, as it likely saved his life. Some compassionate strangers rushed to his aid, calling 911 and staying by his side until the ambulance arrived. Our dad was rushed to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where doctors found he had sustained serious road rash all over his body, a concerning concussion, and excruciating pain in his neck, shoulders, and knees from the impact.

What makes this accident all the more heartbreaking is that it comes on the heels of three other surgeries our father has already undergone this year for various other health issues. The medical costs from this latest incident, on top of his previous treatments, have left our parents utterly overwhelmed - not just physically and emotionally, but financially as well.
