Support of Gary's funeral, burial and emergency family care

On Sunday, June 8th, 2025, Gary Owensby passed away unexpectedly, leaving his family and friends in deep shock and grief. Gary was a kind, loyal, and caring partner, a loving family member, a devoted pet owner, and someone who always stood up for the rights of others. Just three weeks before his passing, Gary was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He and his beloved wife, Leanne, were still coming to terms with this news when he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Despite Leanne’s quick action and the efforts of paramedics, Gary was placed on life support and passed away peacefully with his wife, sister Toni, and mother-in-law Erin by his side. As they said their goodbyes, tears streamed from Gary’s eyes, a testament to the deep love he shared with those closest to him.

Gary was only 52, and the surprise and shock of getting the multiple organ cancer diagnosis was too much. Then, just 2 weeks later, he went into cardiac arrest, and Leanne was devistated and unprepared for the financial burden of funeral and burial expenses.

Gary had many passions including spending time with his wife, family, friends, and precious dogs. He loved World of Warcraft, trips to the beach, long talks with Leanne, and sharing meals at his favorite restaurants. His sudden loss has left a void in the lives of all who knew him, especially Leanne, his best friend and partner of over 16 years.

Funds raised will go directly toward covering Gary’s funeral and burial costs. Leanne wishes to express her deepest gratitude for the loving support from friends, family, and the community during this unbearable time.
