Helping Rhoam and Our Family Through a Medical Crisis
Hi everyone, this is Gary. My wife, Sheelene, and I are facing an incredibly tough time right now, and we're reaching out to our community for support.
On June 23, 2025, our sweet son, Rhoam, had to be medically transported from our home to Fairbanks. He was in severe foot pain and had a persistent high fever. What we initially thought might be a fracture – turn out to be strep throat – which has quickly escalated. Despite starting antibiotics, Rhoam is still very sick.
Doctors here in Fairbanks are running countless tests, trying to figure out what's truly happening to our little boy. Waiting for answers is agonizing and incredibly stressful.
Sheelene and I are committed to staying right here by Rhoam's side, every single moment, offering him comfort and support in the hospital. But being away from home, here in Fairbanks, means we're dealing with a lot of unexpected and quickly accumulating living expenses.
Things like accommodation, food, and other necessities are adding a huge financial strain on top of all the emotional worry we're already carrying.
