My Father Gary and our family have faced many trials these past few months.
October, 4th, 2025 my step mom and his wife of 24 years unexpectedly passed away. Gary has battled male breast cancer for the last 5 years. He was recently in the hospital for 8 days with the flu and myocarditis (heart implications). He was discharged Christmas Eve, upon his release he went to one his daughters houses to stay for holidays and while he gained his strength back. He had returned to his home in Gastonia on New Years Eve.
New Years Day around 6:00AM he woke up to the smell of smoke, anyone’s worse nightmare.
His home was filled with thick black smoke and flames going up the walls. By Gods grace was able to escape and for this we are so grateful! We are also thankful for the first responders and firefighters who fought hard and diligently.
Tragically, not only did he lose he home but he lost nearly everything he owned. It was all completely destroyed by the Fire and water damage. This was the home he had shared with his late wife and had been a faithful tenant in for the past 10 years. Unfortunately he did not have any renters insurance.
Despite all these trials, He has show incredible strength and has not lost faith. He continues to praise God through the storm giving glory to Him no matter the circumstances!
Gary is now faced with the challenge of rebuilding his life. Any funds raised will go to helping him replace essentials that were lost, pay bills and most importantly finding a new home.
Our family is grateful for any help you can offer as it will truly make a huge difference, even if it’s just your prayers! (we know there is power in prayer) Thank you in advance for your support and generosity!
