Support Garrett's Mission Trip to West Virginia

Hello to my amazing family and friends! I am so grateful to come to you all with an exciting update and opportunity. Since completing my first mission trip in June 2023, so much has happened in my life including turning 40, ordaining my first wedding, and watching the kids grow another year. I’ve also taken the learnings from my first mission trip in Guyana and continued fostering truly amazing relationships with that community still today. Through your generous support, we were able to provide a community with a water supply they’d previously not had access to and built a single hoop basketball court for the youth. I can’t explain how much this has meant to this community and how incredibly grateful they continue to be for your kindness and support.

Through my church men’s group, “Courageous”, Pastor Jeff presented the opportunity for a mission trip to care for a community in West Virginia. This blue collar, hard-working community, is close knit and family oriented. They have faced several challenges including geographical isolation and job loss due to the decline of mining, steel, and manufacturing. As a result they have faced extreme poverty, substance abuse, and homelessness. God spoke to me and I knew that is exactly where I needed to be.

I invite you to come alongside me and take a step to support me and the community we are serving. The trip takes place from September 7th-14th and the goal for the mission team is to serve alongside the local church which consists of residential construction and relational ministry. As I look to fund this trip, I’d appreciate any investment you may be able to provide to help the community through my go fund me page. 100% of the donations will go toward supporting the trip and providing for the people we are serving. If you are unable to support monetarily, I totally understand. I would ask for prayers for the safety for myself, my team, and the community we are serving.

I thank you all for your partnership and desire to support me as I prepare to embark on this next adventure that God has put on my heart. I look forward to providing post trip updates in the Fall after I return.

Love,
Garrett
