My brother Garrett was first diagnosed with brain cancer in 2020. He bravely went through two surgeries, as well as radiation and chemotherapy, and our family was so grateful for his strength and resilience. Unfortunately, at the beginning of December 2025, we received the heartbreaking news that his cancer had returned. Because Garrett had just moved back to California, he didn’t have insurance coverage at the time. He went to a local hospital, where they confirmed the presence of another tumor. We quickly took him down to Los Angeles, where he underwent another surgery to remove the tumor. He has been in LA since December 17th, fighting to recover, but his condition has not improved as we had hoped. Our mom has been by his side the entire time, staying with him and supporting him through every step.

The financial burden has been overwhelming, as Garrett does not have California insurance for the month of December. The costs of his medical care, as well as lodging for our mom while she stays with him, are adding up quickly. We are reaching out to our community for help during this incredibly difficult time. Any support you can offer will go directly toward Garrett’s medical expenses and the costs of keeping our family together while he heals.
