Support Garrett Scantling's Return to the World Stage

My name is Garrett Scantling, I am an American Decathlete pushing for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. After becoming an Olympian in the 2021 Tokyo Games and placing 4th in the Decathlon, I had a very successful 2022 season, becoming the 9th best Decathlete in World History, and being primed to win the World Title at the 2022 World Athletics Championship in Eugene, Oregon, I was suspended. I believe in the integrity of the sport and in being a clean athlete, unfortunately, I was a forgetful person and constantly messed up updating my Whereabouts for testing which resulted in a three year ban from track and field.

I have used that low instance in my life to bring awareness to adversity and overcoming failure. I currently teach Sports Performance at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville where I am an avid public speaker on overcoming failure and believing in yourself.

I am excited to announce that I will be returning to competition June 27th of this year to qualify for USA Championships back in Eugene, Oregon on the 31st of July!

Unfortunately, travel, massage and chiro, and going to training camps up to Champaign, Illinois where my coach is located, will be expensive. In the past I had sponsorships and grants that would support me in every way. But since my suspension, I have lost it all, and it is my goal to show the world that even when all is lost, there is a way to find yourself. So I have been training for the past three years waiting for my moment to show who I am as an athlete and more importantly, as a person.

I am asking for any amount of support as I once again chase my dream of becoming an Olympic and World medalist.
