I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart but hopeful spirits. My name is Garrett Pacheco, and I am bravely facing a battle with necrotizing pancreatitis, a life-threatening condition that almost took me from this world. Against all odds, I survived my hospital ordeal, but the fight is not over.

Next, I must undergo a total abdominal reconstruction through ventral hernia repair—a daunting procedure necessary for my healing and quality of life. While I prepare for this surgery, an additional struggle looms over me: homelessness. The weight of medical bills and the absence of a stable home have added layers of stress to my already challenging path to recovery.

**Update**

My surgery was successfully completed on 1/24/25, I now start my healing journey! For the next 3-4 months are going to be the hardest yet with my lack of mobility, All contributions to my cause will go to clean shelter, food, and supplies needed along the way in my recovery and journey to being healthy again.
