Support Sous Chef Garrett After Theft

Hello Dear Community of Boulder!! Your friends at Blackbelly are asking your help on behalf of one of our employees. As some of you may know, our location tends to fall victim to theft and vandalism... despite each of our measures to add more layers of security.

We have on camera the fast theft of our Catering Sous Chef Garrett's entire knife bag from our restaurant. He was unpacking from an event during dinner service. His knives were by the back door, and within seconds a thief rode up on a bike and stole his bag. It contained his entire collection of knives, adding up to thousands of dollars. He wasn't being careless, this wasn't late at night. It was set down right outside our doors for moments. This was an act of malice on a good and innocent person in our company. Cooks and chefs need their knives and spend years building up their 'tool box' in order to have everything they would ever need to prepare food. Knives are essential and part of the chef's own sense of self.
