Keep Gantt's Recovery on Course
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
After much encouragement from friends and family members, I created this goFundMe.
I received a call this afternoon from the business office manager where Gantt is in recovery. Long story short, and the best I can understand it, is when we called to see if they had a placement for Gantt, the person in the business office who is responsible for securing payment from his insurance did not explain to his insurance company that he would be at an inpatient facility and not an outpatient one. This was total oversight on this person‘s part. The facility received notification that his insurance does run out tomorrow and that we would be billed for the amount that they did not cover. After his case review and an investigation into what was happening, they found this mistake. This means that we still owe quite a bit of money to them in order to cover his stay in February. This does not affect the rest of his stay after tomorrow. This is what is owed to his insurance company for our out-of-pocket expenses.
Gantt has made it clear to me that I am not to take any more money out of savings to keep him there. We are very proud people and we would never ask anyone or expect anyone to help carry a burden that is not theirs to bear. But in order to keep him there and to get him through graduation, we are gonna have to have a little help. I know times are hard for everyone and I don’t expect anyone to give anything that they cannot. As a matter of fact, I’m pretty embarrassed to have to do this. However, if it keeps Gantt on track to complete sobriety and recovery, I will swallow my pride and do what I have to do.
I thank you in advance for anything that you are able to help with. I have said over and over again that Gantt’s story is going to help someone else. When we have the opportunity to help someone we will return the favor.
with love and gratitude,
