Help Hannah receive the Gamma Knife Radiosurgery she needs urgently!
A frontline paramedic, just 24, now fighting for her future.
Our amazing friend Hannah is just 24 years old. She’s a dedicated NHS paramedic, the one running toward emergencies when most people run away — saving lives, comforting families, and making a difference on the front line every single day.
Now Hannah needs our help.
What Happened
In early 2023 Hannah was diagnosed with Central Neurocytoma - a rare intercrainial brain tumour. She underwent successful surgery in May that year which successfully removed 80% of the tumour.
Hannah made an exceptional recovery and returned to the frontline as a Paramedic in less than 3 months.
Unfortunately during a routine scan early this year, it was discovered that the residual tumour is showing signs of regrowth.
Doctors have confirmed that what remains of the tumour still needs to be treated, and the safest, most effective option is Gamma Knife surgery — a non-invasive, highly targeted form of radiotherapy that could finally stop the tumour from growing.
But there’s a devastating hurdle:
Despite her medical team’s recommendation , the NHS has denied treatment based upon the fact NHS England does not commission funds for this treatment and her specific tumour type. Whilst an individual funding request has been made by her medical team, she is no further forward in regards to receiving her treatment 3 months after finding out the devastating news, not even on a waiting list.
Hannah is currently waiting for an Appointment in London to go ahead with Gamma Knife Radiotherapy. Private treatment is the only reasonable and safe option left — at a cost of upwards of £15,000.
Time is critical, and delaying this treatment could risk further complications.
Why Hannah Matters
Hannah is more than a paramedic — she’s a bright, healthy, active young woman, married to her best friend and dreaming of starting a family. She’s the kind of person who lights up every room — always smiling, always giving, always ready to help.
She loves long walks with her dog, works hard for her community, and has dedicated her life to helping others.
Now it’s our turn to help her.
