Dear PIKE Brothers,
We hope and trust you are having a great summer with your family and friends! As we approach fall we wanted to share some very exciting news! At the end of July three Gamma Mu brothers attended the PIKE Leadership Conference in Memphis, Tennessee and we won some serious hardware! Very proud to report that we won the Raymond L. Orion’s Excellence Award (awarded to the top 20% of PIKE chapters across the United States)! We also won the Phi Phi K A Club Award, Recruitment Level III Award, and also a Scholarship Plate! WOW incredible brothers! Pictured below (left to right) are brothers Jack Mottram, Vice Recruitment Chairman, John Pagliuso, Public Relations Chairman, and Grady Ruth, Internal Vice President. PIKE IS BACK STRONGER THAN EVER!
As we enter only our third academic year with the new Gamma Mu chapter at 5 Stafford Avenue, we are winning national awards, have grown to 87 active brothers, 36 which will be living in the house this fall, and continue working on the house inside and out. To date, we have spent over $250,000 on items ranging from vital plumbing, electrical, technology and security repairs to landscaping, sitework, siding, windows and painting. You don’t have to be embarrassed to bring visitors! BROTHERS IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN PIKE IN THE LAST 3 YEARS YOU HAVENT SEEN PIKE!
Please mark your calendars for the upcoming events: We hope to see you there!
- Homecoming weekend October 3-5, including the football game against Villanova on October 4, kickoff at 1:00 pm. Brothers will be getting together to tailgate at Boulder Field before the game and visiting the house after the game.
- Brothers golf weekend in Fort Myers, Florida mid-late February of 2026 (exact dates coming soon)!
- Clambake will be held at the house on Saturday, April 25, 2026

Once again, thanks to the previous board's stewardship, our mortgage debt is only $114k on a house assessed at $1.5 million. Our goal is to pay off the mortgage in full over the remaining 10 years of its scheduled amortization and have a debt-free chapter to ensure generations of stability going forward.
Despite our solid financial footing we still have much needed repairs to plan for in phases 3 and 4 but don't want to deplete savings below current levels. Your chapter needs your support. Future improvements include:
Current renovations in process at the house include:
* Upgrading the heating system and replacing badly damaged baseboard heaters.
* Replacing rotted flooring and stairs.
* Replacing interior doors
* Upgrading bathrooms
Phase 4 (summer 2026)
* Replacing the roof
