Support Galloway Police in 2025 Unity Tour

Dear Community Members,

The Galloway Township Police Department is proud to announce our participation in the 2025 Police Unity Tour – a three-day bicycle trek from Southern New Jersey to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC.

What started in 1997 with 18 riders on a four-day fund-raising bicycle ride from Florham Park, NJ, to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., has grown into nine chapters with over 2,600 members nationwide who make the trip annually.

By participating in the Police Unity Tour, we have the opportunity to raise awareness and funding, contributing to the mission of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial—to honor all federal, tribal, state, and local law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and protection of our nation and its people.

The Police Unity Tour stands by the powerful motto, "We Ride for Those Who Died," symbolizing our unwavering commitment to honoring and remembering America's fallen officers. With heavy hearts, we recognize the sacrifices made by these brave individuals who courageously gave their lives in the line of duty. Every day, approximately 925,000 officers put themselves at risk to ensure the safety and protection of our families and communities, and tragically, police officer lives are lost at a rate of 214 per year, on average.

This year, seven members of the Galloway Township Police Department will participate in the ride from South Jersey to Washington, DC. Funds raised by Police Unity Tour riders go to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, which is dedicated to honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
