Support Gale Preston After Devastating House Fire

Gale Preston, a beloved member of the Norene/Watertown community for over 40 years, tragically lost her home in a devastating fire on Sunday afternoon. Gale is well-known in the area for owning the popular Tack Shop, Equine Enterprise, and was a familiar face at local and regional horse shows with her big black tack trailer.

In this unimaginable tragedy, her home and all of its contents were completely destroyed—just one day after the heartbreaking loss of her beloved spotted saddle horse, Lucky. Thankfully, Gale, her sister Bobbie (visiting from California), and her four dogs were able to escape the fire unharmed. Gale’s remaining horse, Threat, was also saved.

Gale wants to express her deepest gratitude to the firefighters, first responders, and the Sheriff’s office for their help, especially EMT Hailey and Officer Massey, who went above and beyond during the ordeal. She has been incredibly touched by the outpouring of kindness from friends and neighbors, and now, we’re asking the community to come together once more to help her rebuild.

Gale did not have homeowner’s insurance, and our goal is to raise enough money to help her purchase a camper to live in. Her service dog, Miley, and rescue pups Chance, Roxie, and Ruger are her greatest treasures, and we want to ensure she has a safe place to call home. Any amount you can give will help her start to rebuild her life after this terrible loss.
