On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Building #9 at Tara Apartments in Natchez, MS caught fire and was a total loss. Gail Tew, her daughter Leslie Hurst, and grandson, Peyton all lived in one of the apartments. It is a near total loss due to severe smoke and water damage. They will be unable to return to those apartments and will have to relocate to another location. Any funds will help in the rebuild of home items lost in the fire.
