Support Gail Hogan:Medical Fund
Donation protected
My name is Paula Clack. I am hoping to help our friend Gail Hogan. On June 2nd, Gail will be having her left eye surgically removed. (Medical term: Enucleation) There was an infection in her eye which caused blindness along with intense pain. Insurance will cover the surgery. Post surgery, a white orb will be put in place to keep the shape of her eye socket during the healing process. Healing will take a few months after which Gail will receive a prosthetic eye. Insurance considers the prosthetic to be “cosmetic” so they will not cover it. This is where you can help. Gail will have to pay the approximately $5000 out of pocket.
Gail has and continues to contribute a lot to our community in Lincoln City. She is an integral part of the local Elks Lodge. She has volunteered as the Lodge Secretary for seven years. Gail has written & received grants for the Elks Lodge in order to assist others in our community. Gail started and continues to run the Free Wednesday Elk’s luncheon open to all Veterans. Gail shows up for others even in spite of her personal health challenges.
Gail, along with her husband Ed, were previous Foster parents. After being a Foster parent she continued advocating for children by becoming a CASA Volunteer for Lincoln County.
Some of you may remember Gail & Ed who ran the coffee shops at Samaritan Hospital in Lincoln City & Newport a while back. She was also a past President of the Lincoln City Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary.
Even small donations add up. LET’S HELP GAIL! Thanking you in advance.
