Hi everyone. Gage aka Gadget came to me along with 3 others,(2wks ago) after their adopter abandoned them. Gage was a kill listed cat for behavior reason. He was noted to drool at the shelter and all they did was drug him with gabapentin.

He started vomiting food and the two days that followed, he stopped eating. The third day I got worried he would develop hepatic lipidosis, so I got him to the ER.

He has oral ulcers and his tongue was messed up and parts of his mouth were bleeding. Suspected calicivirus that the shelter apparently just ignored and stuck him on a random drug for behavior instead of checking his mouth to see why he was drooling and to make sure it wasnt mouth issues.

I am glad he is out of the shelter so he could get the care he so desperately needed.

He has been eating well and I will continue to socialize him. He is not feral, he is terrified. Both Gage and this outrageous bill were unexpected. I appreciate any help and support. Thank you for your consideration.
