Support Gage's Fight Against Leukemia

Dear Family and Friends,
On May 9, 2024, my sister Amanda and her family received some heartbreaking news, news no one ever expects to hear. My nephew Gage was diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia or T-cell ALL.
I have set up this GoFundMe to help them with medical bills, mortgage payments, and any other needs that arise. This will be long journey for them and hope to make it a little easier. We, her whole family, hope to be able to take stress off of the family and help where needed. I am going to try and facilitate helping get the funds where they need to go to alleviate their need for one more thing to think about.
Here is Gage's story from Amanda:
It started with just a cold and small fever. He had less and less energy, and would get light-headed during physical activity. He developed these bumps at the base of his skull and down the back of his neck. He started to get frequent nose bleeds and unexplained bruises. His pediatrician ordered blood work, we got a call that same night that we needed to go into the Emergency Room. This was the first time we heard the word cancer. We got admitted and moved to the PICU.
The next morning we met with the oncologist and later received his diagnosis. T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia or T-cell ALL.
Just within the first week Gage received numerous blood transfusions, went through two apheresis procedures. Had a PICC line put in his arm and a catheter line in his neck. Was on a CRT machine (similar to dialysis) for 38 long hours. Had to have a spinal tap and bone marrow biopsy. And started Chemotherapy.
We've been told to expect the first 9 months of treatment to be the hardest and most intensive. That we should expect several hospital stays during this time. But the total estimated treatment time for this type of leukemia is on average 2.5 to 3 years.
All funds raised will be used to cover medical expenses and bills during unpaid time away from work for both Ken and Amanda.
We love Gage, Amanda, Ken, Lily and Kiera and hope that these donations help give them the help they need. Our hearts are heavy but full of hope!
