Sara is creating this fundraiser for her nephew Gage and his dad after a devastating highway accident changed everything in an instant. While Gage was riding with friends, a ratchet from a flatbed semi trailer came loose, went through the windshield, struck Gage in the face, and exited through the back windshield. The impact crushed the top left side of Gage’s skull and led to emergency surgery. Gage will also need another surgery to repair the orbital socket around the left eye, which was also damaged in the accident.

Since this happened, his dad rushed to be by his son’s side and has remained there through every painful and overwhelming moment. This fundraiser is for both of them as they face the aftermath of this traumatic accident together. Gage has a long road of recovery ahead, and his dad is doing everything he can to stay close, support him, and help him through the surgeries and healing still to come.

The funds raised will help take some of the financial burden from this accident off both Gage and his dad so they can focus on recovery and being together right now.
