My name is Gaby. I never imagined I’d be writing something like this at 32 years old. Just recently, my world was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. In what feels like the blink of an eye, life shifted from everyday routines to doctor visits, scans, and difficult conversations about treatment and the road ahead.
I work as a contractor, which means if I’m not working, I’m not getting paid, and unfortunately, this diagnosis doesn’t come with the safety net of paid time off. Starting on the 23rd of March (also my daughter Madeline's 12th birthday), I will begin an intense treatment plan that includes 56 appointments for chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy.
My focus now has to be on fighting this with everything I have, both physically and emotionally.
This journey is overwhelming, exhausting, and uncertain, but I am determined to keep going. I’m asking for help to ease the financial burden during this time so I can focus on my health, my healing, and being present for the people who love me.
Any support, whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply keeping me in your thoughts and prayers, truly means more than I can put into words. Thank you for standing with me during the hardest chapter of my life.
