Support Gabriel's Fight in the Cardiac ICU

As you guys may know, on June 29th, Gabriel Magnusson suffered a cardiac arrest while visiting his family in Cape May. The paramedics of Cape May Villas worked hard to bring him back before he was choppered to Nemours/Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for children to their Cardiac ICU, where I used to work before I became a nurse. My old coworkers have worked hard to stabilize him, and he still is intubated and medically sedated. His little body is going through autonomic storms as a result of his hypoxia from his cardiac event.

As an ICU nurse myself, I never thought I would be on the other side, watching helplessly as my loved one is the one intubated.

Gabriel just graduated from 8th grade at McCullough Middle School in New Castle, DE and is supposed to start high school at William Penn in the fall. He loves riding bikes with his dad, trying to surf in Cape May where his grandparents live, and is one of the coolest kids I know (even though he’s probably taller than me now). When he was little, I was one of his first babysitters, my dad made him say his first cuss word, and at my mom’s wedding he was the flower boy. Now, he’s no longer into Naruto, but loves dirt bikes and Dodge Challengers. He’s an all around American Boy.

I'm looking to raise money to help his parents pay for his medical expenses, plus any bills they may have as a result of being at his beside. If you think Gabriel is a good human, you should meet his dad, Josh. They are both fantastic humans who did not deserve any of this to happen to them.
