Support Gabriel’s Fight Against Rare Cancer

What began as a routine well-child visit for 7-year-old Gabriel turned into every parent's worst nightmare. His parents, Tania and David, took him to the doctor expecting everything to be fine, only to find out his doctor felt a very large mass in his stomach. He was immediately sent over to Kaiser for an ultrasound and then rushed over to Oakland Children's Hospital to get further worked up. After having a biopsy, it wasn't good news. Gabriel's parents were told he has a very rare cancer called Hepatoblastoma (Liver Cancer). Gabriel is in the very beginning stages of diagnosis staging and work-up. What Gabriels parents have been told is he's going to need surgery very soon, a feeding tube placed for supportive nutrition, 18 weeks of chemotherapy, and possibly the need to be placed on the pediatric liver transplant list. Gabriel is already a miracle baby. He was born at 25 weeks and was in NICU for months after he was born. We are raising funds so that the family doesn’t have to worry about any additional unnecessary medical bills or any other financial need that will come up during this incredibly difficult period.
