I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask others for help like this. I usually am very self-reliant and bear whatever burdens I face with a smile, but last Wednesday I was given some of the worst news you can get: I was facing a cancer diagnosis. I had been concerned about some health issues I was having for a while and contacted a urologist to have it checked up on. After bloodwork and an ultrasound, I was provided with the results and had a treatment plan laid out.

The initial cost of testing has already climbed into the thousands. Along with the costs of surgery, medication, and further treatments, my family is going to have to face a financial burden that no one is really ever prepared to face. We have established a goal to help manage the overwhelming costs of care. Every donation, message, and share truly means more than I can put into words.
