Support Gabriel's Battle Against Osteosarcoma

Gabriel was a healthy growing boy who loves wrestling. He is an outgoing, fun, and a positive teenager. He likes to make jokes and make those around him laugh.

He first injured his shoulder while wrestling because he was accidentally pushed into a padded wall. That shoulder is where his tumor ended up being and at first he thought it was just a muscle sprain. He was working with the Athletic Trainer at Sunnyside school. The trainer advised him to go to the doctor but he said it wasn't that bad. A few weeks later he went to the park with Aiden to play soccer he slipped and landed on that shoulder. He thought he broke it so he went to the ER at Valley Children's and they did an X-ray and MRI. He got out of the hospital around 4 am and by 10am they called Gabriel and referred him to oncology. We went to UCSF that same week and the doctors said the fracture was only due to the tumor being where it was in his upper humerous bone but she believed it needed a biopsy. They admitted him the following Monday and he had a biopsy and that Thursday they did his PET scan. The next Monday they diagnosed him with osteosarcoma with pulmonary mastesis.

Which Is a bone cancer that had advanced into his lungs. Our warrior has now started his journey to fight this! With all the sudden news, mom has stopped working to care for Gabriel. She was the sole provider for her children and will be faced with lots of financial difficulties. They will be traveling back and forth to UCSF for surgeries and to Valley Children's every week for chemo treatments and transfusion. During this difficult time any donations to help mom not worry about bills, travel expenses and medical expenses would be greatly appreciated.
