Hi!
I’m Gabrielle, a theatre teacher and director at Coolidge Senior High School in Washington, DC, dedicated to empowering Black and immigrant youth through the transformative power of the arts. In my classroom and productions, students discover self-love, mental wellness, joy, and a sense of freedom while building real-world technical skills in stagecraft, performance, and leadership. Our original, high-quality theatre productions are more than shows—they are community hubs where students also receive meals, clothing, and essential support, ensuring they can bring their full selves to the stage and beyond.
We’re asking for assistance to purchase food, water and after-rehearsal snacks, menstrual and hygiene products, binding for their meditation and mental health workbooks, 2 used tablets for lighting and sound design, and classroom/stage supplies.
Your donation gets you a free ticket to our October (date TBA) show- Raizes y Resistência.
