Our daughter is a resilient 24-year-old who has lived with Cerebral Cavernous Malformation (CCM3) her entire life. This rare condition causes lesions to form on her brain, which can bleed and lead to seizures or other serious medical complications. Gabrielle currently has 2 active bleeds requiring intervention. Despite these challenges, Gabrielle has always faced her diagnosis with courage and determination. She recently graduated with a degree in Medical Laboratory Science and is passionate about building her career in the medical field, even as she manages the uncertainty of her health.

Currently, Gabrielle is undergoing a series of MRIs and EEGs at the University of Chicago CCM Clinic to monitor her condition. She will now require ongoing seizure medication and faces the possibility of brain surgery, which is her greatest concern.
