Support Gabriella's Dream to Study in France

Hi there! My name is Gabriella Bretado. I'm in the 11th grade at Pioneer Valley High School, where I have been studying French for the last two years. As the second oldest of 6 children, I'm incredibly excited to share that I've been accepted into a summer study abroad program in Toulouse, France through the CIEE Summer Abroad Program! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me to study French language and culture and experience the French culture firsthand. Although, I come from a big family I need all the help I can get. My mother and step-father are both hard working parents to provide for myself and my siblings and I understand this is a huge expense for them that we just can't afford with the economy today. This is why I'm reaching out today for some help with the remaining cost for my trip.

Studying abroad has always been a dream of mine. I believe this program will help me become eligible for a Global Seal of Biliteracy and 4 college credits. Not only will it help me deepen my understanding of language and culture, but it will also expose me to new perspectives, improve my language skills, and help make lifelong connections.

The cost of this program is $8,250, which includes tuition, accommodation, travel expenses, meals, and more. I'm proud to say with the dedication of my mother Cindy Alvarado creating a giveaway with tickets she was able to raise enough money to cover my tuition. This was possible with the help of family and friends. As much as I'm looking forward to this experience, I need some help covering $5,000 in expenses this will include my flight. My deadline to confirm my spot is April 15th. This meaning my tuition and flight have to be paid. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in making this dream a reality.
