I'm Allison and I am creating this GoFundMe for my best friend, Alondra's mom, Gabriela, and I thank you for taking the time to hear her story.

First, I would love to share how much this family means to me. Alondra has been my best friend since we were 12 years old. I grew up with Gaby being a superstar bonus mom. She has worked tooth and nail for her four kids, Alondra (26), Nancy (20), Javier (18), and Miguel (12). As a single mom, this has proved no easy task, and yet she manages to always show up, always cook everyone the best meal, and be the best bonus mom to Ally and I.

At the beginning of 2024, Gaby was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. She went through a year of surgeries and chemotherapy, and in December 2024, she beat it. She was told there was no more cancer present, rang the bell, and celebrated the victory of beating all odds.

This week, Gaby went into the ER with some abdominal pain and was diagnosed with peritoneal cancer, a rare cancer that is treated aggressively and starting immediately. Indefinitely, Gaby will be receiving 3 types of chemo as well as other forms of medication every other week. Three in-person appointments every 2 weeks and a continuous 48-hour chemotherapy treatment every 14 days.

This being said, she is unable to work during this time and needs all her strength to get through this tough battle. They are being asked to move by the end of next month and her kids are all she has currently for financial support.

All money donated will be used to secure housing, groceries, and cover additional medical costs. Any amount you are able to contribute is so greatly appreciated.
