Help Support Gabi Burton and Her Family

Gabi Burton has bravely been fighting stage two cancer since her recent diagnosis. The cancer is in her neck, chest, and left axilla, and although her medical team is optimistic, she has a long and difficult road ahead. Gabi just had her 3rd round of chemotherapy; it was delayed because her blood count was too low. She was given a booster which helped raise her count, but it caused her a lot of pain. The chemo treatments have also made her very sick and exhausted, which has caused her and Jesse to miss a lot of work. Each chemotherapy treatment costs $22,000. Insurance pays a good portion, but it still leaves a sizable chunk for Gabi and that doesn’t include the extras like the boosters, having to go to the ER for IVs because of dehydration.

Infertility is very common during treatment, and Gabi and her husband Jesse deeply hope to have another baby in the future.

The heartbreaking reality is that her insurance provides no coverage for fertility procedures. Every step to protect her ability to have another child will have to be paid for out-of-pocket. These costs are significant and come at a time when her family is already facing emotional and financial strain.

Gabi is also the loving mother of a one year old son, Rowan, who is her joy and motivation every single day. On top of fighting cancer and navigating fertility care, she is doing everything she can to continue working during treatment. She does not have PTO at her company, so every missed hour of work directly affects her family. The financial pressure, combined with the physical and emotional toll of treatment, creates a burden that no young mother should have to carry alone.

Gabi and Jesse are not the type to ask for help easily, but this is one of those moments when community support can make the difference between fear and hope. Every donation goes directly toward fertility preservation, medical expenses, and helping their family stay afloat while Gabi undergoes treatment.
