Support Gabi & Lorne's family who lost everything in fires

Gabi and Lorne's family lost everything last week in the Altadena fire and they need our community's help to get back on their feet. They are incredible humans and I've never met two more generous, kind, community-focused people. They managed to escape the fires with their amazing kids and adorable pups, but sadly had to leave everything else behind - from Christmas presents to their sweet, shy family cat, who they couldn't find in time with minutes to evacuate :(

It has been heartbreaking for Gabi and Lorne to have to tell the kids that all of their carefully selected clothes (Ceci is a budding fashionista and loves unicorns and rainbows), treasures (Bennett loves sports and lost all his basketball and soccer gear), memories, and the cat that they have had since she was a kitten have all been destroyed. Let's come together to support them and to give them some security and comfort while they try to navigate the coming weeks and months - in the immediate future they're trying to replace what they can beyond the irreplaceable (clothes, toys, etc) and find somewhere to live.

Gabi was so generous to me as her friend when I needed a home that I am determined to support her and her family now that she needs urgent help. Lorne is a key pillar of the community and has recently been battling third stage/metastatic cancer so he has already been under severe stress and needs our help - his high school friends of over forty years have been getting involved to help with this request.
