My Sister’s Story

Hi Everyone! My name is Taylor Greer-Jones and my sister, Gabby Greer-Jones is training to take on the Dopey Challenge at Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend January 2027. That is 4 races in 4 consecutive days… 48.6 miles total.

When she told us that she was doing this we literally asked her WHAT is she thinking? What started as a way to lose weight slowly turned into something that completely changed her life. She got into running during her weight-loss journey that started in 2024 when she was losing weight for her wedding and as of 2026, she’s lost 140 pounds.

She is a Culinary/Music Educator with long days sometimes with other extracurricular activities she advises and it could be a 12 hour day and she’s at the gym at 5am getting her runs in or keeping up with her fitness. Over these last two years watching her being consistent, she has taught me and others to be disciplined, patient, and how to believe in myself when quitting felt easier. Running gave her a new confidence and a new way to live, and finishing this challenge feels like the ultimate thank-you to the version of herself who never gave up.

This challenge isn’t just about the miles; it’s about honoring how far she’s come, mentally and physically, and proving that anyone can do hard things. I’m raising support to help make this experience possible for her and to share this journey with the people who’ve cheered her on, sponsored miles, and believed in her along the way. Whether you donate, or simply share this page, please know you’re part of this story too —
every step, every mile, and every finish line. And trust me… SHE. IS. FINISHING. THIS!!
