Support Gabby Lupole's Battle Against Ewing Sarcoma Cancer

Donation protected

We are raising funds to help Gabby Lupole and her mom with medical bills, travel costs to and from appointments, wigs while she endures chemo therapy, and all her needs in between to make life just a bit better for them during her battle with Ewing Sarcoma Cancer. Anything helps. If you are not in the position to donate, please say a prayer and share Gabby's story.

Here is a little about Gabby, written by her mom, so you can get to know her better and see the amazing person she truly is.

"When Gabby was born, at a week old they discovered the main arteries to her heart were connected to her liver, and by the grace of God she had a bad heart murmur that kept the blood flowing to the right side of her heart. On New Year's Day 2003, she had an 8-hour open-heart surgery, which was a great success.
Everything from that point wasn't going too bad. In 2013, after a 10-year, very physical and emotionally abusive relationship and marriage, Gabby and I packed up and moved, and we were on our own. Her school years as well as high school years, Gabby was bullied by so many people telling her that she should do the world a favor and kill herself, why is she still even alive, and that no one liked her. She had very, very few friends and was so down to think that people disliked her that much because she tried to always do so much for everyone. In 2019, she was always asking me for gum. I couldn't figure out why she was going through so much gum. Well, it was because she was helping a young girl who had special needs that wouldn't eat her school lunch because older boys were picking on her, so Gabby took her under a wing and convinced her if she ate her lunch she would give her some gum. One day, I got a call from the principal's office that they were calling the police to have her arrested for supposedly physically assaulting another student. The funny thing was that this student was a football player and he and three of his friends would budge in line in front of Gabby and this young girl every day. So one day after Gabby saying things to teachers, the principal, etc., and these four boys budging in line in front of them again, she grabbed the one by the sleeve of the sweatshirt and said you need to go to the back of the line. Well, in turn, she was sent to the principal's office, where they claimed charges were going to be pressed against her for physically assaulting another student. I drove to the school and told them basically if she was gonna get arrested for assault then I wanted said student down here so that way she could knock him out because if she's gonna get charged she might as well get charged for actually assaulting him. She had done nothing wrong other than stick up for this other young girl when no one else would. It was with that that we decided it was time to start our life over somewhere else. So we packed up and moved to the Maryland/Delaware area. I was promised a great job and a place to stay. Like the saying goes, when things seem too good to be true, they usually are. We found that the job was nothing like they said; it was me working multiple hours and paid very little with no place to live. I left the job which I thought was my dream job, and we lived in a camper at Tuckahoe Equestrian Center, which in all honesty was some of the best times of our lives. Even though we paid for our spot and our electric on time, we were told that we weren't allowed to stay there any longer because the park rangers had issues with the length of time we were there. Ironically, the park rangers thanked us for being there because it made their jobs easier. We finally found a house to stay in, and life had finally started to fall into place. I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked to with Gabby unfortunately, because I was working three plus jobs a day plus doing work on a horse farm where I was boarding our horses to help pay for their board. We never got child support or alimony, but we made the best of everything and made lots of amazing memories and friends along the way. One of our favorite things to do was have a picnic outside and watch the sunset while eating boneless BBQ chicken from Walmart, a big treat for us, which is still one of our favorite things to do. Gabby's always had a way to see the beauty in everything and still keep smiling!!
In 2021, Gabby graduated from high school and from the Culinary Academy, where she was a Certified Chef. She loves cooking, especially when it makes people happy, and loves all animals, especially her dogs Luna and Athena.
She was finally diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma October 7th 2024. She has been a true fighter. She received her first treatment November 4th 2024 at John Hopkins. She's had many obstacles she's over come. Three times she got out of the hospital for a day and was back in within 12 hours. It ended up that both her main arteries to her heart were cemetery closed off because of blood clots. The port that was put in collected them like velcro. She ended up having to have emergency surgery because her blood pressure was so low and she was very lucky they didn't dislodge or she would have died. She was in the hospital from November 4th thru December 31. Fighting fevers, infection, severe dehydration, sores, and fatigue. Since then she's on a blood thinner she takes two shots of everyday. The mass was 11 cm by 10 cm so basically, the size of a grapefruit. With the chemo they shrank it in
half and February 12th they removed the mass. She has to receive radiation for Monday thru Friday for 31 days and eight more rounds of chemo. Her inspirational songs through all of this are Jelly Roll-I'm not ok but it's all gonna be alright and Lainey Wilsons song Tougher. She hopes to see them both someday in concert. Through all of this Gabby has talked about going back to school to become a nurse. She wants to be able to give back and help like she was helped. She says she wants to make a difference in this world. To tell her story to encourage and comfort people and give them hope. That's just how she's been her whole life. Always putting everyone before herself. Even when she's in the hospital everyone wants to take care of her because she is so sweet and doesn't want to bother the nurses because others need her help more than Gabby. She inspires me everyday to be a better person."

On Friday April 18th at Theatre N 221 W 10th St, Wilmington, DE 19801 we are having a Charity Comedy to Support Gabby and her mom Kelly if you'd like to be there to meet them and show support. Just to make them smile and show that our community cares and they are not alone during this fight.
