Hi everyone! My name is Gabrielle (Gabbie) Oxie. On January 13, 2024, I was walking across the street and was hit by an SUV going 40-45mph. The person who hit me did not have car insurance and walked away without any consequences other than the damage to his car that my body caused - not even receiving a ticket. I had to fight for my life at 23 years old. I was put on a ventilator for two days, I cracked my head open, I broke my nose and my left occipital bone, parts of my cheek bones, my left pelvis, and the left part of my sacral bone. My intestines became detached from my abdominal wall and I needed extensive surgery to put my intestines back together. My left internal carotid artery dissected and there was a blood clot stuck in there. I damaged my left hand to the point I could not use it. I received subdural and subarachnoid hemorrhages. I had a 15% chance of surviving.

I never wanted to make a GoFundMe, but I was out of work for a little over 6 months and did not receive any financial retribution from the accident. I really need help financially. I have to pay rent, utilities, groceries, car payments, pet insurance, food for my dog, daycare for my dog, and now medical bills.
