The country of Liberia has a 60% illiteracy rate, most of it's citizens are at a poverty level, and there is no free education system. Only the well-to-do can afford tuition for their children to the country's schools. Gabanja is a seven-year-old organization that provides free school for children. The instruction is provided by volunteers, who receive $30 a MONTH stipends to hold classes. This GoFundMe is to provide the funds for two existing "schools" and to expand to two more communities. It will cost $120 per month to provide reading and math classes for the children from four poverty-stricken communities.
