Support Fuzz's Life-Saving Surgery
Donation protected
My name is Ryan and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart. My beloved dog, Fuzz, woke up yesterday with no function in his back legs. I immediately took Fuzz to the emergency vet. They could not do anything but give pain medication. I was told that he would need surgery and that Fuzz needed to be transported to Iowa State University Veterinary Clinic. Upon examination at the university, it was determined that Fuzz's spine has two disks that are out of alignment leading to his inability to walk and have no feeling in his two back legs. I was told that only surgery will save his life, or he would have to be euthanized. The surgery is urgent to eliminate the possibility of more damage to the spine.
Fuzz is a 5-year-old mixed breed (American Foxhound/Pomeranian) and has been part of our family for almost 6 years. Fuzz will turn 6 on July 4th. He is a super friendly, very chill dog that has never met a stranger. Fuzz is somewhat of a legend and a favorite among many, whether it's at the dog park or doggy daycare. He is my children's best friend and mine as well. Waking up to his inability to move and seeing the signs of struggle was heartbreaking to say the least.
I will do whatever needed so he gets his surgery. Currently, I am trying to get a loan so he can have an immediate operation. Fuzz's surgery comes with a large financial obligation. It will cost $8000 just for the operation followed by more expense of physical therapy.
I'm asking for help. Any donation, no matter how small, will bring us closer to giving Fuzz a chance for an operation, to heal, and live a full happy life again. If you can't donate, sharing this page with others would mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support.
With Love,
Ryan, Tristan, Tenley, and Fuzz
