It is with deep sorrow that we It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles Odhiambo (Chalo) on the 5th of September at 3:00 p.m. at the Thorax Clinic in Heidelberg, Germany, after being hospitalized for two months.
In early June, Charles was diagnosed with severe tuberculosis, which required urgent surgery. One of his lungs had already been destroyed, while the other was functioning at limited capacity. Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team, including intensive care and intubation in the ICU, his condition sadly did not improve.
Charles was a devoted father of two boys, aged 13 and 16, a beloved son to his father and mother in Kenya, and a cherished friend to many. He was a kind, humble, and generous soul who touched countless lives with his warmth and laughter.
Charles is currently in Frankfurt, Germany, awaiting transportation back home to Kenya for his final rest. The family urgently appeals for your support to help raise funds for his repatriation and funeral arrangements.
He fought hard to stay with us, but God in His mercy called him home. Your contributions will go a long way in giving Chalo the dignified farewell he deserves and in supporting his young sons and grieving parents during this difficult time.
Please donate and share generously to help the family honor Chalo’s life.announce the passing of Charles Odhiambo (Chalo) on the 5th of September at 3:00 p.m. in Thorax Clinic in Heidelberg, Germany, after being hospitalized for two months.
