Hello, my name is Dionte Bacon.

On September 23rd, my mother, Dana Taylor, and my grandmother, Ernestine Taylor, were both tragically found deceased in their apartment.

My grandmother had been battling Huntington’s disease, a rare and devastating inherited disorder that affects movement, thinking, and behavior. There is no cure, and while the symptoms can sometimes be managed, the disease is always fatal.

For the past 15 years, my mother—despite facing her own health struggles—devoted her life to caring for my grandmother with love, strength, and compassion. She gave everything she had to make sure her mother was comfortable and cared for.

The cause of my mother’s passing is still unknown, and our family is heartbroken by this sudden loss of both of them.

I’m reaching out to ask for help with funeral and burial expenses so I can give them the peaceful farewell they deserve. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and my family during this incredibly difficult time.
