Support Funds for Mitchell's Ongoing Treatment

Hi, my name is Kenzie Johnson and we are starting this fundraiser to provide funds to support Mitchell and Laura Gleason as Mitchell undergoes extensive medical treatment in the coming years.

Mitchell and Laura have been married for two years and moved to West Virginia last year where they bought their first home together. In March of this year, Mitchell noticed a swollen lymph node in his neck and, after months of testing, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He will need to undergo 6 months of chemotherapy, starting August 25th (2023). Given the nature of this disease, his medical journey will extend beyond the chemo, including years of doctor's visits, PET scans, and check-ups. The doctors are also working to make it possible for them to have children in the future whether through IVF or other means.

While they are nervous to be starting this long journey, both Mitchell and Laura are doing their best to remain in good spirits. Mitch has always been quick to make everyone laugh and has kept this up even on his hard days. If you are able, any amount of support would be immensely helpful as the couple navigates the repercussions of this awful disease over the coming years.

All of the funds raised will go towards the next 5 years of chemotherapy, exams to monitor the progress of the condition, and advanced reproductive technology considerations (fertility).
