Support fund for Will, fired Starbucks Organizer

Hello everyone! Hope this message finds you well. My name is William Suarez, an almost 11-year worker at Starbucks in Hialeah, FL, 8th Ave and 49 St. I also led the union organizing campaign at the store from January to December of 2022. As a result of our store's organizing, we were able to promote a pro-worker culture, replaced problematic management, and help win new raises and benefits across the entire company!

On December 27th, 2022, in the midst of the Holidays, I was illegally fired by the company for continuing to engage in protected activity to improve the welfare of myself and my coworkers. Starbucks decided to fire me just as they planned to close the store for renovations while leaving partners to find hours on their own, knowing that without my presence, the partners would be less willing and too scared to criticize the actions of management.

I'm NOT afraid of this company and fully intend to FIGHT for my reinstatement with the National Labor Relations Board. The purpose of this fund is to make ends meet until I can accomplish such a goal. Thank you for your time and charity. Solidarity forever!
