Support Fund for Wesley MacGregor

After 29 years of service as a Court Officer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Wesley MacGregor retired in March of 2019.  On April 24 he was arrested and arraigned in federal court on charges stemming from the release of a Newton District Court defendant in a way that prevented ICE officers from arresting him in the courthouse.  The judge presiding over that case has also been charged.

As you can imagine, this case is taking a heavy emotional toll on him and his family. A father and grandfather, Wes was arrested at home in front of his neighbors and brought to court last week, when he could have walked in voluntarily. His wife, who manages a local business, reports receiving angry messages from strangers.  This is just wrong.

Wesley has retained legal counsel. This GoFundMe account has been established for Wes by attorneys Veronica Zolina and Ali Purple, who practice in the Newton District Court. All funds collected here will be used to help Wesley and his family pay for his legal defense, manage their affairs, and maintain stability while he and his attorney respond to the charges and work to attain a fair resolution of his case.
