Support Fund for Merrick Theatre
Tax deductible
Now, more than ever, local arts and culture need your support.
The Merrick Theatre and Center for the Arts, established almost 30 years ago, is proud to be a beacon of hope, home, and artistic creation for both young and old in Nassau County. When you pass through the Theatre's lobby, you're bound to see the smiling faces of the Theatre staff, casts of shows running from room to room, vocals bellowing through the halls, teachers inspiring students to express themselves through theatre. But now, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Theatre is quiet, empty, and dark, and finds itself in a worrying financial situation.
The Theatre relies on patronage from welcoming theatergoers like you through its doors to continue operating. Being shuttered for an indefinite period jeopardizes the vision that founder Tony Georgan set forth in 1993: to inspire, engage, and educate the local community through theatre. With our shows halted, classes canceled, and rehearsals stalled, we need your support more than ever to make sure that once it is safe to gather again, the Theatre can continue to welcome you through its doors.
Whether it be as a cast member, an audience member, a parent, a teacher, or a student, we look forward to seeing you as soon as it is safe. For now, we thank you for your donation towards keeping the theatre's mission alive during these turbulent times.
