Support fund for Lauren Beardsley's recovery
Donation protected

On May 10th she and her 3 roommates, all from MN, were involved in a tragic ATV accident by Mille Lac Lake, MN. Lauren was intubated and airlifted to North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis with extensive facial fractures, multiple broken ribs and a collapsed lung. By the grace of God, imaging of her brain is good and she is following commands. Yesterday, 5/13/21, her trauma team and specialists started with phase one. They successfully repaired her lower jaw and placed a tracheostomy. The next phase, a tedious and delicate surgery to repair the orbit of her eye, soft palate, nasal and sinus cavities, is scheduled on her 21st birthday, May 18th.
Lauren has a long road to recovery ahead of her. She is warrior, and without a doubt, will battle whatever challenges lay ahead. Lauren and her family will need ongoing support, financially, emotionally and physically, in the weeks and months ahead. Her rock is, and always has been, her mom Jen who has not traveled back home to Iowa, since the accident. Her parents are fighting their own battle, to be by their daughter's side, with restricted visiting. Please consider donating to help with mounting medical bills, travel, and daily expenses so her parents can focus on Lauren's recovery and their son Ian, who is a graduating senior at Ankeny High School.
Please continue to keep Lauren and her family in your thoughts and prayers. They also ask for continued prayers and support of her 3 roommates and their families.
