My name is Charlie McCloy and I am a first year chemistry PhD student at Florida State University. On 11/19/25 at 11pm, a fire ravaged through the Seminole Social apartment complex on Ocala road. Unfortunately, some of my fellow PhD students lost everything in the fire. Luckily nobody was seriously injured, but they need to start over. A few of these victims are international students that just moved here ~3-4 months ago and were getting their feet under them. Any support for these students would be a huge help for them.
