My heart caught an arrow when I saw reposted information about Frosty. He was scheduled for euthanasia on 1/24 at 2 pm. I couldn’t sleep since I read that post and saw Frosty’s sad eyes. But I already had a giant dog and had been on disability leave for a year, so neither timing nor financials worked in favor of me becoming Frosty’s forever mom. But I wasn’t able to let it go! Natalia and Gala saved Frosty through a rescue from being killed on 1/24, but he still needed a home, care, training, and medical attention. And I couldn’t stop thinking about him. I’ve been fostering Frosty since 2/4. Immediately when I picked him up, I saw what a sweet angel he is.
Frosty’s bloodwork looks good, but he has pain when walking, and x-rays showed severe hip dysplasia and will need surgery. He is also extremely malnourished and underweight Our vet will refer him to an orthopedic surgeon for a quote, but they warned us it is up to $15,000 per hip for a dog of this size
Frosty deserves a healthy life with runs and play; he has so much love to give. The vet staff kept saying that he is the most well-behaved dog ever.
My ambition is to train Frosty to be a service dog as he has the right demeanor and obedience traits for it.
I would greatly appreciate your help with covering his medical expenses. I will post all receipts here ❤️
