Looking for support, when I go to London for my Lung surgery

Hello, my name is Trevor, and I’ve been on a challenging health journey for the past 2.5 years, dealing with a lung condition that requires Lung Volume Reduction (LVR) surgery. The surgery is scheduled for July or August at the Royal Brompton Hospital (RBH) in Chelsea, and it is a critical step towards improving my lung function and quality of life. While I’m hopeful about the surgery, it comes with significant logistical and financial challenges. My consultant has advised that my partner, Lance, should be with me during the surgery and recovery period to provide emotional and physical support. We live in Brighton, and traveling back and forth to the hospital daily would be impractical, so we’ll need accommodation close to the hospital for both Lance and me during my stay. Additionally, we have beloved pets that need care while we’re away. We need to hire a cat sitter, which also comes with a cost. These expenses—accommodation, food, and pet care—are substantial, and that’s why I’m reaching out for your support. Once I am discharged from the hospital after 10 days, I will return home to Brighton to begin rehabilitation, focusing on building strength and recovering my health. Any contributions you can provide will directly go toward covering the accommodation, food, and pet care costs. Additionally, any funds raised beyond the goal will be donated to The Royal Brompton Heart and Lung Foundation, which supports patients like myself in their journey with heart and lung conditions.
