This poor girl was dumped (story below) in OP, but thankfully Tami Steinle with @Papillon Pals Rescue, Inc stepped up to take her into their rescue and since she is a Clay dog, Friends of Clay County Animals, Inc. is helping them with her medical expenses.

Fortunately, based on the first vet visit, Zip is heartworm negative, spayed, now microchipped and according to the vet a healthy little dog. However, Clay Humane did recommended a tumor/mass removal (feels its benign but just to double check) and MPL surgery, which will all be done by Dr Broadhurst (yay for her!). So, in order to get her adoption ready, we could REALLY use YOUR help!!

Estimated surgery bill range- $2,311-$2,801

TOTAL needed- appx.$2,500-3,000

We'd like to do this ASAP so they can work on getting her adopted quickly since the finder is fostering, but is also leaving the country next month. So, the sooner the better for this one!

Her backstory:

This little female dog was dumped behind Publix in OP last weekend. The finder spent several hours trying to catch her, put up signs everywhere, contacted local shelters only to find out from Safe that a lady had tried to surrender her to them a few days before and they refused. So, we know 100% she was dumped. Finder was planned on turning her into CCAS but when she tried, the dog was so scared that she decided to reach out to rescues first.

Fortunately @Papillon Pals Rescue Inc stepped up. She will be available for adoption through them.

Zip is dog friendly, housebroken, good on a leash, and great with the husband of finder. She is scared so she will need someone who will give her some time to adjust and not rush her into uncomfortable situations.
